Reading is a gift that you can open every single day!
As a reading teacher and children’s book enthusiast, I am always ready to share a book recommendation (or ten!), as well as my love of reading and writing.
When I teach, I use Science of Reading methods and combine phonics with imaginative play so that learning becomes a fun adventure! One of my favorite things to do is pair readers with just the right book to help unlock that reading magic.

More About Me:
I was a classroom teacher for over a decade before I became a reading specialist and mom of two. I have my MA in Education, a teaching license, and a certificate in teaching reading. But more importantly, I truly love reading and writing and want to pass that feeling on to my learners.
My BA is in Health Arts and Science where I studied children’s health and development and emotional wellness. I’m also a certified children’s yoga teacher. When learners have an emotional toolkit that they can draw from when they need to, it helps give them a landscape to learn other skills, like reading and writing.
I’ve spent my life nurturing curious and kind learners, building children’s social-emotional skills, and teaching all kinds of readers and writers. My goal is to help children love reading, writing, and learning for life!
